Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary
Making a Difference!

Greetings and Salutations from your Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club!

First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone who donated to the ASK Campaign this past year. Thanks to your generosity, you’ve ensured a variety of service projects continued to exist in 2020 that otherwise would have gone un-funded in the absence of our annual fundraising event. Despite all the adversity faced throughout the year, we were still able to make a significant impact in our community and internationally thanks to your support during these troubled times.

As you’ve come to expect, the third week of May is when the best and biggest party of the year happens in Yorba Linda…Lobsterfest! We intended to host this great event in May of 2021 but because of the continuing restrictions caused by the pandemic, we will be moving the date to the fall of this year. Mark your calendars for 10/9/21 and you’ll notice it will be held on a Saturday for the first time in 30+ years!

We look forward to seeing all of our community and to celebrate, all the while raising money to make a positive impact in our world!

We will keep everyone posted as we get closer, in the meantime be sure to save the date:

Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary donates $50,000 toward the Misting Rock and Children's Area of the new Yorba Linda Library!  The check was presented at the Dedication Ceremony for Yorba Linda Library and Cultural Arts Center on Friday evening, November 13, 2020.  Here's a picture of the plaque posted on the Misting Rock, the heart of the Paseo between the library and the cultural arts buildings.
Thank you to all our members and community supporters who donated to "The ASK" Campaign which just recently ended.  Because of COVID 19, we were unable to host our annual 2020 Lobsterfest event with about 1400 people at the Yorba Linda Community Center last May.  This one and only annual fundraiser for the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club, which generates a net of between $80,000-$95,000 each year, funds all our local and international charities.  We launched "The ASK" campaign, hoping to raise at least $40,000 to help our community.  To our delight and surprise, we far exceeded that goal to almost $61,000 to date!  We want to express our gratitude to all who donated to this cause during this time of crisis!  Thank you!
Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary financially supported this small school in Las Pinas, Philippines located in a high poverty area hard hit by COVID 19.  Hotspots and tablets enable students to access education despite schools being shut down.
Rotary dollars at work in the Philippines!
Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary did a drive up celebration in honor of Deputy Hana Robertson as the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.  We presented the Deputy with her individual plaque as well as a perpetual plaque that will be on display at the station house.  Congratulations to Deputy Hana Robertson and thank you to all the officers for the work they do.
